Sullivan Informa Que EE.UU. Prepara Sanciones Adicionales Contra Corea Del Norte

North Korea says denuclearization has been ruled out and accuses the United States of “hostile” policies, including sanctions. This leaves you no choice but to expand your army.

As Pyongyang continues to develop banned missile technology and flags a possible new nuclear test, the United States is implementing a new round of sanctions against North Korea, US national security adviser Jake Sullivan said Thursday.

He said a new set of sanctions was being prepared as he spoke at a conference in Seoul organized by the US-based Center for Strategic and International Studies and South Korea’s JoongAng media group.

Sullivan spoke live via video link but did not give any details, but said Washington would use pressure and diplomacy to get North Korea to drop its nuclear weapons.

American Joe Biden’s North Korea strategy focuses on the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. He remains committed to that goal, while remaining flexible and willing to work with partners to achieve it, he said.

He cited increased cooperation between the United States and South Korea, as well as increased military exercises. The United States is working to increase its presence in the region of strategic assets such as long-range bombers and aircraft carriers.

North Korea says denuclearization has been ruled out and accuses the United States of “hostile” policies, including sanctions. This leaves you no choice but to expand your army.

Mr. Sullivan stated that Washington has no ill intentions towards North Korea and is open to talks without conditions.

He said that Pyongyang had rejected his sincere efforts to reach out.

In October, the United States imposed sanctions on two Singapore-registered companies and one Marshall Islands-registered company that Washington said supported Pyongyang’s military and weapons programs.

Decades of US sanctions have not stopped North Korea from developing its missile and nuclear weapons programs. China and Russia oppose recent United Nations sanctions, arguing they should relax to allow talks to begin and avoid any humanitarian harm.

Mr. Sullivan stated that while the United States does not deny the challenges ahead, it remains committed to holding North Korea accountable.
